Interactive map shows location of bombs that dropped on city of London during World War II
Web designers have come up with an interactive map showing the site of bombs that dropped on city of London during World War II.
More than a million homes were destroyed when German leader Adolf Hitler's air force tried to bomb the city into surrender, as part of the operation - the Blitz.
Designers have painstakingly matched old maps with today's street grid to pinpoint exact locations, and the popular response has been overwhelming. Al Jazeera’s Barnaby Phillips reports from London.
